Maria Ivanova was born in 1966 in Plovdiv. She graduates her education in "Tsanko Lavrenov" High School, Plovdiv.       

She is a fashion graduate in the academy of textile "Kosigina" in Moscow in 1992. Maria Ivanova elaborates her diploma work in collaboration with "Briliant" factory. Her collection "Women costumes" takes part in the National Spring Fair Plovdiv in 1992, and wins diploma and gold medal.       

Her projects are in the sphere of lady's clothing.       

She works as a teacher in design of clothes in the vocational school "Ana May" Plovdiv.       

During 2003 - 2005 she designs formal dresses for studio "Black fashion".       

In 2007 - the Night of Museums and Galleries in Cultural Center "Trakart" Plovdiv, she takes part in an independent exhibition of fashion sketches and clothes.
